The Ultra's main feature is that it allows double resting point support in the occipital and suboccipital regions
Both connections support 17mm (5/8in) ball head pads which can be combined to further advance positioning support
The Ultra Head Positioning System provides a modular approach to meet the needs of clients with complex presentations. The occipital pad supports the occiput and is available in a variety of sizes. The suboccipital pad cups the back of the skull, limiting neck hyperextension, increasing support and stability, and providing lateral support to the neck. Lateral facial pads can be added to provide lateral support and, in combination with the suboccipital pad, 3 to 4 point control to reduce neck lateral flexion and rotation.
The Ultra's main feature is that it allows double resting point support in the occipital and suboccipital regions
Both connections support 17mm (5/8in) ball head pads which can be combined to further advance positioning support
The occipital and suboccipital connections are independent from each other, meaning they can be adjusted to fit more accurately to any asymmetric situation
A stretchable Coolcore® cover material comes standard with both standard pads
Can be removed and replaced
A complete range of custom cover solutions, colors, and styles are available
Standard 5/8in (15.88mm) layer of latex free closed cell rubber foam for support and comfort
Hook and loop attachment for simple foam replacement and/or maintenance
Gel options available to reduce skin friction irritation
The UniLink Ultra hardware uses two components to create the desired system, the mounting stave mounts and the Ultra link. Then a variety of sizes for standard Ultra occipital and suboccipital pads. Starting from the foundation to order an Ultra should look as follow:
What mounting style?
Fixed or Flip Down?
Seven (7) adjustment points
with only one tool
What neck size the suboccipital
pad will support?
Finally, how to support
the occipital?
How is this system going to be mounted? Does it need to slide a little to the side for asymmetric configurations? Does it have enough clearance for 7in (17.78cm) or 12in (30.48cm) height adjustment travel? Does it need to flip down?
Stealth's UniLink offers a variety of mounting for any possible situation, or you can modify the hardware even further because of it's universal modularity.
Fixed Staves
1/2in (12.70mm) square stave comes in 7in (17.78cm) and 12in (30.48cm) height adjustment travel
15mm (5/8in) square stave only 12in (30.48cm) height adjustment travel
Flip Down Staves
1/2in (12.70mm) or 15mm (5/8in)
square stave
Available in 7 1/2in (19.05cm) height adjustment travel
Standard seat back mount for 1/2in (12.70mm) or 15mm (5/8in) square staves
Comes with hardware
Allows for a 2 3/8in (6.03cm)
horizontal adjustment
Only available for
1/2in (12.70mm)square staves
Standard 1/2in (12.70mm) square stave fixed hardware with 7in (17.78cm) of height adjustment travel
Long 1/2in (12.70mm) square stave fixed hardware with 12in (30.48cm) of height adjustment travel
Long 15mm (5/8in) square stave fixed hardware with 12in (30.48cm) of height adjustment travel
Standard 1/2in (12.70mm) square stave flip down hardware with 7 1/2in (19.05cm) of height adjustment travel
15mm (5/8in) square stave flip down hardware with 7 1/2in (19.05cm) of height adjustment travel
This hardware will create a system that utilizes two separate pads to cradle the occipital and suboccipital regions of the head independently. The horizontal bar uses a new clamp style that increases the holding strength and eliminates the potential of damage to the square tube.
Both pad mounts will include a 17mm (5/8in) ball split ring and screws.
Along with the mounting hardware the UniLink Ultra hardware has nine (9) adjustment points, which can be adjusted with a single 4mm hex wrench tool.

The Ultra is compatible with the SAR2B (Low Profile) series. It can be positioned either on the occipital or the suboccipital or both. This will allow the swing away to positioned any
Either to enhance positioning or to complement alternative control options, the Swing Away will let a caretaker or technician configure the Ultra to offer solutions to any challege.
On the main illustration of this section it is shown: A fiber optic mount with a spot temporal pad swing away arm combo (FO625), red mechanical Egg Switch (ESRED) to change modes, on a low profile left side swing away receiver (SAR2B-L), mounted on the Ultra's occipital region. The Ultra link (UHBSU23200) has a large suboccipital pad (620M) and a 7x4 occipital pad (500M), with a standard 1/2in (12.70mm) square tubing FDM hardware (UHB2D232FD-QCR).
Either used as a support for tilt/recline or to supplement with embedded switches on a tray driving control configuration, or any other configuration, the UniLink Ultra is compatible with our
